Compassion for Self

This.

This is your reminder — not from the world, not from a to-do list, but from a quiet moment on the path.

On the Camino, I came across a hand-painted sign.It read: “Slow down and feel.”With it, an arrow — the kind that points pilgrims forward, guiding them step by step across Spain.

But in that moment,

I didn’t need a sign pointing ahead.

I needed that message:Slow down. And feel.

It stopped me in my tracks.

It whispered something my soul had been waiting to hear.

You don’t have to push through every moment.

You don’t have to prove anything today.

It’s okay to pause.

It’s okay to feel tired.

It’s okay to be human.

Let that be enough.

Compassion begins right there —in the space between effort and surrender, in the breath you remember to take, in the choice to be gentle with yourself instead of critical.

We’re taught to be strong.

To keep going.

But rarely are we taught how to soften.

To breathe.

To listen to what we need.

To tend to our own hearts with the same care we offer others.

Today, let the arrow point not just forward — but inward.

Toward kindness.

Toward presence.

Toward feeling.

That’s the true direction.

That’s the sacred path.

You got this!

Let’s walk this path together.

One gentle, joy-filled step and compassionate pause at a time.
